Inter and Atalanta are in talks to work out the structure of a sale of striker Andrea Pinamonti, and a loan with a purchase option is one possibility.

This according to today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, who report that the two clubs are focusing on the structure of the transfer in addition to the question of the fee.

The Nerazzurri continue to iron out a fee for Pinamonti with La Dea, who are coming up from their offer of 15 million but haven’t yet met the Nerazzurri’s 20 million asking price.

In the meantime, the question of the structure of the deal is also in the balance, as Atalanta are hoping for a loan with a purchase option, whilst the Nerazzurri would prefer a permanent sale or at least a loan containing a purchase obligation.

In the end, it could be a loan with a purchase option which becomes an obligation when the 23-year-old makes a certain number of appearances which gets a deal done.
