Pisa President Giuseppe Corrado Confirms Interest In Inter’s Eddie Salcedo: “He’s A Great Prospect, We’re Interested In Him”

The Preisdent of Serie B side Pisa Giuseppe Corrado has confirmed his team’s interest in signing Inter striker Eddie Salcedo for next season.

Speaking to Italian broadcaster TV Play, Corrado made no secret of the Tuscans’ interest in Salcedo although he stressed that for now they are just admirers and that he remains a Nerazzurri player.

Pisa have been one of the clubs most strongly linked with Salcedo this summer, with the 20-year-old’s name having emerged in a the past few days as one of the names at the top of their list to replace Lorenzo Lucca in attack.

The Tuscans will certainly look to make at least one signing to reinforce their attack following Lucca’s departure for Ajax, and Salcedo could be the right profile for them.

The 20-year-old has spent the past three seasons out on loan with the likes of Hellas Verona and Spezia, and dropping down to an ambitious Serie B team like Pisa could represent the right next step for him.

“He’s a top young talent who has the kind of prospects that interest us,” Corrado said of the Nerazzurri striker.

“But today Salcedo belongs to another club, we think about players who, if they are on loan at Pisa, can stay here,” he continued. “He’s a prospect that could be of interest to us, he’s very talented, he could give a lot to this team.”
