Alexis Sanchez still wants to wait until his move to Marseille is wrapped up before he agrees to officially terminate his contract with Inter.

This according to today’s print edition of Rome-based newspaper Corriere dello Sport, who report that the 33-year-old and his agent should put pen to paper on a termination of his Nerazzurri deal by mutual consent today but that it will depend on the status of his move to Marseille.

Sanchez’s stance has always looked to be that he has not wished to formally leave Inter until he knew the destination of his next club, and the agreement between the Chilean and Marseille was a key factor in convincing him to agree to depart the Nerazzurri with severance pay.

The Nerazzurri and Sanchez’s agent Fernando Felicevich have already reached an agreement on the terms of a termination of his contract, but are now waiting for the move to Marseille to get done.

Once the player feels completely secure that he will sign for the Ligue 1 team he will be ready to agree to leave Inter, which could take place in a meeting between the Nerazzurri and Felicevich today.
