Atalanta CEO Luca Percassi has spoken about his club’s reported interest in Inter striker Andrea Pinamonti, stating that for now the Lombard club are happy with their attack as it is.

Speaking to reporters, via FCInterNews, the Atalanta executive stressed that while La Dea are indeed admirers of the 23-year-old, they also have numerous options in the forward areas already which has to be taken into consideration.

Atalanta have been one of the clubs most strongly linked with a move for Pinamonti, who has numerous clubs interested both within Serie A as well as abroad off the back of his eye-catching loan spell with Empoli last season.

Reports have suggested that La Dea could have to offload one of the forwards already in their squad in order to make room for Pinamonti as well as to bring in the fee necessary to invest in meeting the Nerazzurri’s valuation of the striker.

Percassi stated that “He’s a great player, but Atalanta have many forwards already, Miranchuk, Pasalic, Zapata, Muriel. Let’s see what happens, but we must always take into consideration the depth of the squad.”
