Former Inter and Marseille midfielder Stephane Dalmat believes that the Nerazzurri should be trying to sign Lens midfielder Seko Fofana.

Speaking to the Twitch channel of Italian news outlet Calciomercato.it, as reported by FCInter1908, Dalmat named the former Udinese midfielder as a player who should be on Inter’s radar based on his performances in Ligue 1.

Fofana joined Lens from Udinese during the summer of 2020, with his time in Serie A having already been impressive, and he has gained further acclaim for his displays with Lens.

The 27-year-old has helped lead Lens to two consecutive top half finishes and even charges at European football, and has been marked out as a target for a number of major European clubs.

For his part, Dalmat feels that the Nerazzurri would do well to sign Fofana as he expects that he would be able to play a positive role.

“In Italy you already know him well,” the former midfielder said, “he is Fofana at Lens – for me he’s a great player, he already knows the league from his time at Udinese, but today he’s another type of player, more mature and strong.”

Dalmat also spoke about Lukaku, stating that it would be “An extraordinary comeback for Inzaghi’s Inter. He had a bad season, but it’s up to him to show the desire to ‘be forgiven’ by returning to being the Lukaku of two years ago.”
