Inter are considering the possibility of finding a new main shirt sponsor in the event that DigitalBits aren’t able to honour their contract for the upcoming season.

This according to today’s print edition of Rome-based newspaper Corriere dello Sport, who report that the Nerazzurri are waiting to see if the first tranche owed by the cryptocurrency company comes in and that a search for a new sponsor wouldn’t be out of the question.

DigitalBits owe Inter €23 million next season, and then €27 million next season and €30 million the season after that per the terms of the sponsorship agreement for the company to replace Socios.com as the main shirt sponsor.

However, the cryptocurrency company, who are also the main shirt sponsor for Roma, have already been late with their first payment on the deal, leaving Inter considering what to do.

Right now the Nerazzurri continue to wait for DigitalBits to make the payment and honour the agreement, but in the event that the payments continue to be late or don’t come in at all they are also searching for other possibilities.
