Inter have removed DigitalBits as the main shirt sponsors for their women’s and Primavera team following the cryptocurrency’s non-payment of the first tranche of their sponsorship agreement.

This according to today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, who report that the Nerazzurri  have responded to the payment from the sponsor being late and that the removal of the logo from the front of the shirt of the senior men’s team wouldn’t be out of the question.

Inter have a four-year agreement with DigitalBits worth €85 million which sees the cryptocurrency replace Socios.com as the front shirt sponsor, but there already appear to be issues in the partnership as the first tranche owed to the Nerazzurri in the deal has not arrived on time.

For the time being, the cryptocurrency company’s logo has been removed from the front of the Primavera and women’s teams’ shirts, and if the payment continues to be late it could also be removed from the senior men’s team’s shirt when the season begins in less than two weeks.
