Italian journalist Giancarlo Padovan feels that Inter are the likeliest team to win the Serie A title thanks to the strength of their attack.

Speaking to Italian broadcaster Sky Sport Italia, Padovan named the return of Romelu Lukaku in particular as a factor which could swing the title in the Nerazzurri’s favour.

Last season Inter had the strongest attack in Serie A despite missing out on the title by two points, and the return of Lukaku, who had been the team’s top scorer in both of his two previous seasons in Italy, could push them over the edge in this respect.

The Belgian adds a dimension that wasn’t really present to the Nerazzurri’s attack last time around, and could not only guarantee the consistent goals to enable them to pick up the points needed for the Scudetto, but also add a different dimension to the attack for a variety of different types of matches and opposition.

“I put Inter ahead of Milan at the moment because Lukaku is back, bringing back the strongest attack in Serie A,” Padovan said. “Inter are the strongest team and have the greatest potential if they stay like this.”

“I don’t know if Skriniar or Dumfries will stay, if even one of the two leaves,” he added. “And then Gosens still hasn’t done what we expected of him. I see Inter as having an advantage over Milan and Juventus at any rate.”
