Sassuolo are prepared to accept a buyback clause in their offer for young Inter midfielder Cesare Casadei, and the Nerazzurri would prefer to the Emilians than to Chelsea.

This according to today’s print edition of Rome-based newspaper Corriere dello Sport, who report that Chelsea still have not improved their €8 million whilst the Neroverdi are getting ready to try and get a deal done.

Casadei has suitors both inside and outside of Italy, with Chelsea having started to push to sign the 19-year-old over the past week or so.

Possibly key to the race for Casadei’s signature will be the Nerazzurri’s insistence that a buyback clause be included in the deal, as they don’t wish to lose control of his future permanently.

The Blues have not shown any willingness to agree to a buyback option, and given that they’ve not yet raised their offer from €8 million, the Neroverdi are hoping that the situation remains as it is so that they can move in.
