Forward Alexis Sanchez still hasn’t made a final decision on his future amid reports that his representatives have been in discussion with Inter about a termination of his contract by mutual consent.
Speaking to Italian broadcaster Sky Sport Italia following a meeting with his agent Fernando Felicevich, the 33-year-old explained that he hasn’t yet chosen where his future will be, and emphasized that he wants to be somewhere that he can continue to play at the top level.
Recent reports have suggested that Marseille are the likeliest destination, and that he is willing to agree a termination of his Inter deal with severance pay in order to join the French side.
However, as of yet no official agreement has come on the termination of Sanchez’s deal, nor has he taken any decisive steps to join Marseille.
Sanchez met with his agent Felicevich over dinner this evening to discuss his situation, with Felicevich having held a couple meetings with Inter in recent days, but as of yet he could not give a definitive answer about his future.
“I’m calm,” he emphasized. “I haven’t decided yet.”
He then emphasized that “I’m going to play, I still want to win. That’s being a lion.”
Asked whether he expected a different outcome, the Chilean remarked, “It’s still early.”
