Juventus executive John Elkann has said that Inter are the strongest team in Serie A and that they are structured to win the title this season, according to a report in the Italian broadcast media.

Speaking whilst at a Juventus friendly at Villa Perosa to Sky Sport, via FCInternews, he talked about how Serie A is now much more competitive than it was before and he revealed that he thinks Inter are the best placed to win the title come June.

“We have to be careful because the Italian championship is more difficult than in the past, Inter are the strongest, they are structured to win, without forgetting Milan.

“It won’t be easy for Juventus, the Italian championship has grown in level and it won’t be easy at European level either. Surely Juventus is there and will fight to win.”

He presumably feels that way based on the addition of Romelu Lukaku in attack and then the bolstered midfield which has had Henrikh Mkhitaryan and Kristjan Asllani added to the ranks.

Many people feel that the additions of Angel Di Maria and Paul Pogba to the Juventus side make them the favourites but there is also a very good case for saying that AC Milan will retain their title.
