Inter midfielder Kristjan Asllani has already shown the Nerazzurri that he is much more than just an alternative option in the midfield for Simone Inzaghi, according to a report in the Italian media today.
As has been reported by La Gazzetta dello Sport today, the Albanian player has rapidly risen up the hierarchy at Inter during the pre-season training sessions and matches.
The 20-year-old was signed from Empoli to be the backup for Marcelo Brozovic and then the eventual replacement for the Croatian.
His maturity and natural ability mean that he is already seen as the natural replacement for any of the three usual starting midfielders in the team. Simone Inzaghi is ready to give him a lot more responsibility than he perhaps had planned when the move happened.
Henrikh Mkhitaryan is still searching for fitness which means that Kristjan Asllani is ahead of him in the hierarchy right now.
