There were positive signs from both Milan Skriniar and Robin Gosens during the training session with Pergolettese on Wednesday, according to a report in the Italian print media today.

As has been reported by Corriere dello Sport, there was a lot to learn about the physical conditions of certain players during the 8-0 victory in a match that was part of a joint training session.

Milan Skriniar only recently returned to the group but he managed to play 75 minutes during the game. That is a big boost to Simone Inzaghi’s hopes of having him in the starting lineup against Lecce next weekend.

The other boost was that Robin Gosens appeared to grow in confidence and pace as he looks to recover from a muscle strain.

There was not a lot for Simone Inzaghi to take from a tactical standpoint in the game given the level of opponent that they were facing.
