Inter coach Simone Inzaghi wants his team to play their final friendly of the summer against Villareal as if it is a real game, according to a report in the Italian print media today.

As has been reported by La Gazzetta dello Sport today, the Inter boss has quickly shifted his focus to the friendly against Villareal after the training match against Pergolettese.

The Nerazzurri will be taking on last season’s Champions League semi-finalists in Pescara on Saturday evening and it will be the last chance for the coach to see his team in a game scenario before the season opener against Lecce.

He wants the game to be played with the full intensity of a real game because at this stage, his team should be ready for competitive football.

The game against Lecce will take place down in Puglia and the Nerazzurri will want to get their Serie A title challenge off to the best possible start.
