The midfield is the area that Inter have strengthened the most during the summer transfer window, according to a report in the Italian media today.
As has been reported by FCInternews today, by adding Henrikh Mkhitaryan and Kristjan Asllani to the squad, Inter have improved their midfield considerably.
A major issue last season was the fact that once one of Marcelo Brozovic, Hakan Calhanoglu or Nicole Barella was unable to play, the players stepping in were not up top standard to have the desired imapct.
That is not the case this season as an experienced player in Henrikh Mkhitaryan has arrived to rotate with Hakan Calhanoglu.
As for Kristjan Asllani, he has already shown during pre-season that he can be more than just a backup option for Marcelo Brozovic. Simone Inzaghi is likely to use him across the midfield in rotation, keeping more players fresh throughout the season which will be very demanding.
