The trio of Stefan de Vrij, Robin Gosens and Romelu Lukaku will all require some special attention from Simone Inzaghi at the start of the new campaign, according to a report in the Italian print media today.
As has been reported by La Gazzetta dello Sport, there is an issue for Inter in each of the three areas of the pitch.
In the defence, there is the fact that Stefan de Vrij will be a starting defender again but his form declined a lot towards the end of the previous campaign. There is also a lack of depth behind him right now which needs to be addressed.
In the midfield, there is the issue of Robin Gosens remaining uninjured for the whole season and also regaining the confidence in his body that he lost with the injury at Atalanta.
In attack, the return of Romelu Lukaku means there is a tactical shift that the team needs to adapt too quickly in games.
