Manchester United coach Erik ten Hag has suggested that the club will not be pursuing a move for Inter defender Denzel Dumfries this summer, according to a report in the Italian media.
As has been reported by FCInternews, the Manchester United boss was talking during his press conference ahead of their first match of the season when he was asked about any further transfer business.
It is no secret that the Red Devils have been linked heavily with a move for Inter defender Denzel Dumfries this summer as many feel they need an improvement in his position.
Erik ten Hag said that he is happy with his squad, though, which suggests he is not pressuring the board to bring in the Inter star.
“To make more purchases would be a good thing, but I am happy with the squad and those made so far. We are working together. I am happy with the current squad and we need the right players.”
Manchester United is now the home of former Inter player Christian Eriksen and when asked about whether the Dane and another new signing could feature against Brighton, he said: “We need competition in the squad, we are about to face a long season with many games. We need a lot of good players. They are fit enough to start.”
