AC Milan defender Simon Kjaer has said that the predictions have the Rossoneri behind Inter and Juventus but it was the same last season when they won the title, according to a report in the Italian print media.
Speaking during an interview with the Sportweek magazine which is part of La Gazzetta dello Sport, the Danish centre-back talked about the chances that his team has to win the title again this coming season.
He pointed out that a lot of people have predicted AC Milan to finish third in the new campaign behind Inter and Juventus but he does not seem to mind at all given very few people predicted AC Milan to be the Scudetto winners last season.
“The predictions put us behind Juve and Inter. I understand those who think so, as the opponents have been very aggressive in the market. But even last season they didn’t think we were favourites, and then we all know how that went… And in any case I’m convinced we can still grow.”
Simon Kjaer missed half of the Scudetto winning campaign when he suffered a very serious knee injury. He is back fit again though for the new season and he will hope to see it through.
