Paris Saint-Germain remain optimistic that they’ll be able to get a deal done to sign defender Milan Skriniar from Inter before the transfer window closes.

This according to today’s print edition of French newspaper L’Equipe, who report that the French champions expect that they can still sign the 27-year-old before the end of August despite the slowdown in their pursuit of him.

PSG’s chase of Skriniar has taken a pause in recent weeks, with the French club not having improved their offer in several weeks while Inter have gotten less receptive to the possibility of selling him due to their failure to sign Bremer from Torino.

However, the Parisians still consider Skriniar to be a major target, and feel that they can eventually sign him.

PSG are not yet in any rush to sign Skriniar, but they expect that they will be able to do so at some point before September.
