Inter could decide to sell striker Andrea Pinamonti and midfielder Cesare Casadei for decent-sized fees this summer rather than completing a big money sale of a first-team player like Milan Skriniar or Denzel Dumfries.

This according to today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, who report that cashing in on the two younger players for around €40 million in total would represent the Nerazzurri’s Plan B to selling Skriniar or Dumfries.

Inter have been linked with making a big name sale similar to the departures of Achraf Hakimi and Romelu Lukaku last summer for much of the transfer window, with the cash influx important for meeting ambitious financial targets.

However, no sale has been made as the transfer window has dragged on, whilst Skriniar and Dumfries look to be the two players closest to the exit door but the club not keen to lose either of them.

Given that the asking price for Pinamonti is €20 million as Atalanta and Sassuolo push for the 23-year-old, and a similar fee would be sought for Casadei should Chelsea insist on signing him without a buyback option included, this could be enough to meet financial goals for the time being.
