Lecce’s home stadium the Stadio Via Del Mare will be sold out when Inter visit for their Serie A season opener.

This according to today’s print edition of Lecce-based newspaper Il Nuovo Quotidiano di Puglia, who report that all 31,000 plus seats of the newly-promoted side’s stadium have been sold out for the Nerazzurri’s visit.

As with the start of the 2019-20 season, Inter face Lecce to kick off the 2021-22 campaign, and as was the case then it will be the Giallorossi’s first match in the top flight following a promotion from Serie B.

The excitement from Lecce fans is high to see how their team will fare back in Serie A, leading to their opener against Inter being sold out, whilst the away section is also sold out as Nerazzurri fans travel in numbers to watch the team try and kick off their Scudetto chase with a win and see Romelu Lukaku make his second Serie A debut.
