Inter are still hoping to avoid the removal of DigitalBits’ logo from the front of their senior men’s team shirts, but they will need the payment to arrive soon from the cryptocurrency company.

This according to today’s print edition of Turin-based newspaper Tuttosport, who report that the Nerazzurri would see removing the company’s sponsorship as an extreme option, although they could have their hand forced if the payment of the first tranche continues to be late.

The deal between Inter and DigitalBits for the cryptocurrency company to replace Socios.com has already hit a major snag as the new sponsor have failed to make the first payment.

The Nerrazzurri’s response to this non-payment has been to remove the company’s logo from the women’s and Primavera team shirts and to remove mentions of the company from the official website.

With the Serie A season set to begin for the senior men’s team this Saturday against Lecce the next step could be to remove the logo from the men’s team shirt as well, but the club are very much hoping that payment arrives so that it doesn’t come to that.
