Legendary former AC Milan, Juventus, and England head coach Fabio Capello believes that Inter are the team best-equipped to win the Serie A title.

Speaking to Naples-based newspaper Il Mattino in an interview published in today’s print edition, Capello gave the view that the Nerazzurri are the one team who are both fully set-up for the new season and a step ahead of their rivals in quality.

Several teams will be vying for the Serie A title, and for a place in the Champions League places, over the coming season, with many teams having reinforced in the transfer window to try and improve on their finishes from last season.

Like many teams at the top Inter are going into their second season with their current coach, Simone Inzaghi, and Capello feels that the Nerazzurri can be certain of their quality in a way that no one else at the top can.

“Inter are always a step ahead of the rest,” he argued. “Roma and Milan are the ones that seem to me to already be complete, which is an advantage.”

“Juventus will have to deal with the injury to Pogba, and there’s the risk that he could be playing with the handbrake on because of the injury, fearing he could miss the World Cup in Qatar,” he noted. “And Napoli are also there in the race for a place in the Champions League.”
