Inter CEO Beppe Marotta held a meeting with his Sassuolo counterpart Giovanni Carnevali to try and get a deal wrapped up for striker Andrea Pinamonti.

This according to Italian broadcaster Sky Sport Italia, who report that the two executives held the meeting where they looked to get even closer to making the 23-year-old’s transfer to Sassuolo official.

The Neroverdi look to be getting closer and closer to wrapping up a deal for Pinamonti, and now they are holding the decisive talks to try and get the deal over the line.

The 23-year-old has been a target for a number of other clubs both inside of Italy and abroad, but Sassuolo are now closing in on his signature.

The deal is not yet done, but today’s meeting between Marotta and Carnevali is yet another clear sign of the intentions of both clubs to make the transfer happen very soon, concluding the transfer saga around Pinamonti.
