Italian journalist Fabrizio Biasin has given updates on a couple of key transfer market situations at Inter over the rest of the window.

Speaking to Italian broadcaster Sponda Nerazzurra TV, Biasin reported that there is virtually no chance of the Nerazzurri buying another forward, whilst he also explained that Lazio’s Francesco Acerbi and Borussia Dortmund’s Manuel Akanji are the main candidates to be signed to complete the defense.

Inter’s transfer business does not look to be totally done for the summer, although in terms of incomings it looks very unlikely that any more players will be signed to complete the options in the position alongside Romelu Lukaku, Lautaro Martinez, Edin Dzeko, and Joaquin Correa.\

“Inter won’t sign a fifth forward,” Biasin explained, “in the minds of the coach and managers the four forwards they already have are just fine.”

He continued that :They’re not going to put money towards a fifth attacker, it will be a player from the Primavera or Mkhitaryan if necessary. This is something they’ve said bluntly.”

However, the club are still looking for one more defensive signing in order to ensure that there is adequate depth in the backline, and Biasin also gave an explanation of the Nerazzurri’s strategy in regards to this search.

“The budget currently available is zero,” he said, “there are bigger names that are linked, but this is because it is thought that a departure of Skriniar could still be possible.”

He explained that “We;ll have to hope that the budget remains zero, because if it becomes €15-20 million then that means that Skriniar has left.”

“Inter have a couple of situations that they are looking at,” Biasin continued, “One of them is that of Akanji, who is not at available on a free transfer, but they could find a way to bring him in.”

“The last option is that of Acerbi,” he went on, “if they fail to sign the 2-3 others they have in mind, signing him would be a possibility as he can’t stay at Lazio. There are plans A, B and C, the one thing that’s certain is that the budget is zero.”
