Inter are keeping a very close eye on the situation surrounding Barcelona defender Andreas Christensen, according to a report in the Italian print media today.

As has been reported by Corriere dello Sport, the club are well aware that Simone Inzaghi needs another defender in the squad and they may have found a situation to exploit.

Barcelona need to raise a lot more money before they can register their new signings. If they do not register Andreas Christensen and Franck Kessie before the match against Rayo Vallecano on Saturday, there is a clause that allows them to leave again for free.

It still seems very unlikely that Barcelona are going to let the situation reach that point, but Inter are nonetheless monitoring it.

The other two targets being linked right now are Jean-Clair Todibo from OGC Nice and Borussia Dortmund’s Manuel Akanji. The former could cost Inter around €20 million which is an issue.
