Barcelona have registered Franck Kessie and Andreas Christensen for the new season who have been linked with Inter this week, according to a report in the UK media today.

As has been reported by BBC journalist Simon Stone on Twitter, among others, the Spanish side have managed to find the necessary funds for La Liga to let them register some of their new signings.

They have been activating economic levers all summer to free up new revenue and therefore meet the La Liga economic regulations for registering new players or those who have signed new contracts.

It became clear earlier this week that Franck Kessie and Andreas Christensen would be allowed to leave on a free after just arriving this summer if they weren’t registered for the match against Rayo Vallecano.

That led to them being linked with many teams, including Inter who need a new centre-back in Andreas Christensen’s mould.
