Chelsea coach Thomas Tuchel has said that his team will not enter the market for players they are not 100% sure about, according to a report in the Italian media.

Speaking during his press conference ahead of Chelsea’s next game, via FCInternews, the German coach was asked about the transfers that the club are looking to complete as the market wears on.

They are being heavily linked with Inter youngster Cesare Casadei and some reports have suggested that they are ready to increase their bid to €15 million which is a figure that Inter could decide to accept.

The coach did not name names but he said that the Blues will not be signing players that they are not 100% sure about towards the end of the transfer window.

“We will not panic and we will not sign players we are not 100% convinced about. We might be content to have an extra central defender in the squad but it depends on what is possible.

“You don’t always get what you want. We are calm and ambitious at the same time, there are still days left until the end of the session.”

Another player that Chelsea are linked with is Denzel Dumfries but the Dutchman could be more of target for the 2023/24 season rather than this one.
