Former Juventus striker Darko Kovacevic has said that Juventus are the scudetto favourites rather than Inter or AC Milan, according to a report in the Italian media.
Speaking during an interview with La Gazzetta dello Sport today, the former striker made no bones about the fact that he thinks the Bianconeri are the team to beat this season given the quality individuals they already have and are signing this summer.
“Juventus are the favourites without a doubt: with Di Maria’s quality, Chiesa’s speed, Vlahovic’s goals and Kostic’s assists, Juve becomes the team to beat. Allegri will be able to give his boys the right footprint, I’m sure.”
The latest to join the squad is FilipKostic who has been linked with Inter many times in the past. It seemed that the Nerazzurri were closest to making a move for him in January when they needed improved depth in that area.
They opted to sign Robin Gosens from Atalanta instead and he will be the starting left winger in the new season.
Many people feel that the Scudetto could be a three-way race this season between Juventus and the two Milan sides.
