Alessandro Bastoni has gone from being an expendable player to someone totally integral in the space of one summer, according to a report in the Italian media today.
As has been suggested by a report in Tuttosport, the Italian defender was viewed at the start of the summer as a player that can be sold should the right bid come in from a team such as Tottenham Hotspur who were extremely interested in him for a long time.
Heading into the new campaign though, he is the player that Inter can rely on the most in the backline as both Stefan de Vrij and Milan Skriniar have contracts that are expiring in 2023.
Alessandro Bastoni is a very valuable player given his age, his technical ability and the fact that he is left-footed.
There does not seem to be any danger of Inter selling him late in the transfer window this summer.
