Inter have been offered Belgian defender Jason Denayer on a free transfer but they think that his wages are too high, according to a report in the Italian media today.

As has been reported by FCInter1908, the Nerazzurri were formally offered the former Fiorentina man last week but they did not accept the offer due to the Belgian’s wage demands.

The 27-year-old is asking to be paid €3 million net for four years and as well as that, there will be commissions to pay to his agents.

That wage figure has only been offered to him by two clubs so far and they are in Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates. He has a preference to stay in Europe though and play in a more competitive environment.

Valencia have come forward for him but they have only offered €1.7 million per season and bonuses for three seasons with an option for a fourth.
