Inter will collect the transfer fee for Andrea Pinamonti when Sassuolo score their first point in February 2023, according to a report in the Italian media today.

As has been reported by FCInter1908, the details have now emerged as to what event or circumstance will trigger the permanent deal for Andrea Pinamonti to move to Sassuolo from Inter.

He has joined the Neroverdi on a loan deal and there is a mandatory redemption fee of €20 million but it was not clear when that is triggered.

It will come into effect when Sassuolo score their first Serie A point of February 2023. Similar to how Inter did the deal for Joaquin Correa from Lazio, this will allow Inter to budget for Andrea Pinamonti in 2023, when the player’s amortised value will be only €5.6 million.

That then means that Inter get a substantial capital gain of €14.4 million and Sassuol can include him in next year’s budget.
