Real Madrid defender Alvaro Odriozola is the likely replacement for Denzel Dumfries should the Dutchman be sold, according to a report in the Italian media today.

As has been reported by Tuttosport, the Nerazzurri have to start thinking about who they will sign if they receive an offer for Denzel Dumfries towards the end of the window that they cannot refuse.

It cannot be ruled out that an offer of around €40-50 million will come in from Premier League side Chelsea and Inter would then find that hard to turn down.

If that did occur, the first choice replacement for the Dutchman would be Real Madrid’s Spanish youngster Alvaro Odriozola.

He spent last season on loan at Fiorentina and had a very good year. He does not look likely to get the sort of game time that he feels he deserves under Carlo Ancelotti. It may have to be a loan deal to begin with.
