Inter coach Simone Inzaghi was the man who really pushed Inter president Steven Zhang to bring Romelu Lukaku back to the club, according to a report in the Italian broadcast media.

As has been reported by Sport Mediaset, via FCInter1908, the coach made it absolutely clear to the president of the club that he really wants the Belgian striker back at his disposal for the new season.

Simone Inzaghi had two weeks of training at the beginning of last season where he still had Romelu Lukaku in the squad.

The forward then signed for Chelsea and it was a source of major disappointment for the coach who had just arrived from Lazio.

Given Simone Inzaghi has already been able to work  Martinez for a season, he is understandably excited to see what happens when he adds back the striker partnership that gave so much to Antonio Conte. They were key to winning the Scudetto.
