Inter boss Simone Inzaghi is desperate to keep Milan Skriniar at the club this summer and two of Inter’s targets may be too expensive, according to a report in the Italian print media today.

As has been reported by Corriere dello Sport this morning, the Inter coach really does not want to lose the Slovakian defender so close to the start of the season or so soon after the season has started.

He knows though that ultimately it is out of his hands. The defender’s future is still in the balance as there are around 20 days of the window left to run and teams like PSG or Chelsea can come back in for him.

In terms of players that Inter are looking at to add more depth to the area, both Manuel Akanji and Jean-Clair Todibo could prove to be too expensive.

That leaves cheaper options such as Lazio defender Francesco Acerbi who is a short-term solution but comes with Serie A experience.
