Only €5 million separates Inter’s asking price from the offer of Chelsea for midfielder Cesare Casadei.

This according to today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, who report that the Nerazzurri continue to hold out for €15 million for the 19-year-old, whilst the Blues haven’t risen above €10 million.

Inter rejected Chelsea’s initial offer for Casadei of €8 million which was far too low for them to consider given that the Blues are not willing to include a buyback option in the deal and want to take control of the midfielder’s future.

The Nerazzurri would consider cashing in on the 19-year-old but would want a significant fee in order to do so, and €15 million looks to be the point at which they’d listen to offers.

Chelsea would be willing to go up in their bid to an amount in the double digits, but they are not yet ready to go beyond €10 million.
