Inter head coach Simone Inzaghi would not want wingback Denzel Dumfries to be sold even if a huge offer is to arrive for him from Chelsea.

This according to Italian news outlet Gazzetta.it, who report that the coach considers the 26-year-old to be an absolutely vital player and is keen not to lose hold of him no matter how high Chelsea go in their bid.

Dumfries has been linked with a move away this summer, with the Blues emerging as the team with the strongest interest in his signature, although Inzaghi is increasingly resistant to any sale of the Dutchman.

The 26-year-old showed how influential he can be for Inzaghi’s team by coming off the bench to breathe new life into Inter’s right flank and then score a late winner in yesterday’s Serie A opener against Lecce.

The coach is aware of the transfer interest in Dumfries and the need for the team to bring in cash from one source or another on the transfer window, but his stance would be firmly against selling the Dumfries in any circumstances.
