Defender Federico Dimarco has been given positive reviews for his performance in Inter’s 2-1 Serie A win over Lecce yesterday.

The 24-year-old was one of the most highly-rated players among Inter’s team in the player ratings for the match across Italian media, as highlighted by L’Interista.

Dimarco was not widely expected to start the match, but Nerazzurri coach Simone Inzaghi decided to give the defender a chance to show what he could do as an attacking option in the left-sided position in the back three.

The 24-year-old appeared at home in the position and was instrumental in the Nerazzurri’s very early opening goal, whilst he was one of the few consistently positive influences for his team as the overall display began to sag as the match wore on.

The Gazzetta dello Sport, the Corriere dello Sport, and Tuttosport all awarded Dimarco a grade of 7/10, whilst TuttoMercatoWeb and L’Interista were a little less positive, settling on 6.5/10.
