Lazio defender Francesco Acerbi has refused other offers and is still holding out for his preferred move to Inter before the summer transfer window slams shut.

This according to Italian broadcaster SportMediaset, who report that the 34-year-old’s priority is to make the switch to the Nerazzurri, and so that for the time being he has shown little interest in joining any other teams.

Acerbi looks set to leave Lazio before the summer transfer window closes, and there have been a number of teams who have shown interest in signing the experienced defender, but in terms of top clubs like Inter, AC Milan, and Juventus, the interest has been fairly lukewarm.

For the player’s part, however, he would still like a move to Inter where he would be reunited with former Biancocelesti coach Simone Inzaghi.

The Nerazzurri have reportedly been thinking about Acerbi as a low-cost option to replace Andrea Ranocchia at the heart of their defense, although for the time being there has been no movement on him.
