Sassuolo coach Alessio Dionisi is pleased to have striker Andrea Pinamonti at his disposal after the 23-year-old officially made the switch from Inter this week.

Speaking in a pre-match press conference ahead of tomorrow’s Serie A clash with Juventus, as reported by FCInterNews, Dionisi explained that the Neroverdi are working to make Pinamonti available as soon as possible now that they’ve officially signed him.

Sassuolo won the race for Pinamonti’s signature this summer after a number of clubs had shown interest in the 23-year-old on the back of his excellent form on loan with Empoli last season.

The 23-year-old will replace Gianluca Scamacca leading the Neroverdi’s line, and he will have big shoes to fill in the form of the now-West Ham United striker.

Dionisi is glad that the Emilians have gotten the business done prior to the beginning of the campaign, though it is not clear whether Pinamonti will make an appearance against Juventus tomorrow.

“Andrea arrived the day before yesterday, he had his first training session yesterday morning,” he said. “He has always trained, he lacks some fitness because he waited to know where he would play.”

“We’re happy to have him at Sassuolo,” he continued. “I’m happy with his arrival. He’s in a good shape, we’ll try to see whether to have him play from the beginning or come on during the match, we’ll find out in the next training sessions.”

“Now the goal is to get him in the right physical condition and match-fitness,” he went on.
