Cremonese striker Cristian Buonaiuto feels that despite a costly error at the end of Andrei Radu’s first match for the newly-promoted club, the Inter-owned goalkeeper also helped keep the team in the match prior to his mistake.

Speaking after the match, as reported by FCInter1908, Buonaiuto gave the view that mistakes can happen and shouldn’t be the only focus of the Romanian’s debut.

Radu will have been hoping to have had a solid first match for Cremonese in order to get himself off in the right direction to re-find his form and confidence after a high-profile error in Inter’s 2-1 loss to Bologna back in April.

Instead, the 25-year-old was the culprit in his team allowing Fiorentina to score a last-gasp winner which prevented the newly-promoted side from taking anything from their first match back in Serie A.

Buonaiutor, who scored a momentary equalizer for Cremonese, understand that errors can occur, however, stating that “When I came on the coach he asked me to give my best in attacking and dribbling phases, then unfortunately the 3-2 goal came due to an individual error, but these things happen.”

He noted that “Radu had kept us in the game until the end, so today we all lose together, tomorrow we will all win together.”
