Italian journalist Sandro Sabatini believes that Inter’s transfer window will have been close to perfect if they are able to avoid a sale of defender Milan Skriniar.

Speaking to Italian broadcaster SportMediaset, Sabatini gave the view that the Nerazzurri have already strengthened significantly, and that they have done so just as much as any of their rivals at the top of Serie A.

Inter have brought in a number of players to bolster their squad depth this summer, as well as bringing back Romelu Lukaku from Chelsea in one of the highest-profile deals of the entire transfer window, in Serie A or otherwise.

Coach Simone Inzaghi remarked after the Nerazzurri’s 2-1 win over Lecce in their opening match of the Serie A campaign that he feels that the Nerazzurri are only in the newspapers when linked with sales, but Sabatini feels that their incoming market has been quite eye-catching as well.

“Inzaghi is right about Skriniar,” he said, “he’s not right when he says that the other teams have been the ones spending, because the Inter windowwas sensational. Lukaku, two young players Asllani and Bellanova, and Mkhitaryan. If Skriniar remains, the Inter market is a 10/10.”
