Borussia Dortmund have put an asking price of €15 million on defender Manuel Akanji, and Inter will wait and see if they get a green light from President Steven Zhang to move for the 26-year-old.
This according to Sky Sport Italia transfer market expert Gianluca Di Marzio, who reported live on the air that the Nerazzurri are poised to move for the defender but that the Schwarzgelben will still expect a decent-sized fee and that it remains to be seen if Zhang gives the go-ahead.
Inter have identified Akanji as a priority target to reinforce the defensive depth in place of Andrea Ranocchia, partly because the fact that he is headed into the final season of his deal at Dortmund without an extension could make him a bargain signing.
However, the Schwarzgelben do not intend to let the Swiss international leave for too cheap, and their asking price at this stage is still €15 million.
Now, Inter’s next move should be dependent on the decision of President Zhang, whose approval will be needed before a move can be made.
