Inter have placed a €50 million price tag on wingback Denzel Dumfries for Chelsea considering that the Blues paid an even larger fee to sign Marc Cucurella from Brighton and Hove Albion.

This according to today’s print edition of Rome-based newspaper Corriere dello Sport, who report that the Nerazzurri feel that if Chelsea are willing to pay a reported €73 million for Cucurella then there should be no discounts for Dumfries.

Dumfries remains on Chelsea’s radar as they continue using the summer transfer window to reinforce their squad, although a big money swoop for Leicester City defender Wesley Fofana, valued at €85 million, is also a priority item on their agenda.

The Nerazzurri could listen to offers from the Blues for Dumfries, but they would expect the valuation of the Dutchman as part of any deal to be in line with what the Premier League giants have been willing to pay in their other transfer business this summer.

Chelsea made a significant financial push to beat Manchester City to the signing of Bright wingback Cucurella who plays on the opposite side to Dumfries, and Inter’s stance is that any fee for Dumfries should be based around what the Blues paid for the Spaniard as a reference point.
