Suning are not going to use the money from the sale of Cesare Casadei to Chelsea on signing Manuel Akanji from Borussia Dortmund, according to a report in the Italian print media today.

As has been reported by Corriere dello Sport, the Chinese ownership are keeping the money from the sale of Cesare Casadei that is expected to go through in the next few days.

This is a move that will anger fans but given there is a need to end the summer with a profit from transfers of €60 million, that money may well be better served in the coffers.

That being said, it is thought that the lowest figure that Borussia Dortmund would accept for the Swiss defender right now is €15 million and that is how much the initial fee is that Chelsea are paying for Cesare Casadei.

Inter seem willing to wait to see if the Bundesliga side will lower the price.
