Former Fiorentina forward Valeri Bojinov has said that he did not sign for Inter because he was not acting like a professional at the time, according to a report in the Italian broadcast media.
Speaking during the Calciomercato – L’Originale show on Sky Sport, via FCInternews, Valeri Bojinov spoke very honestly about his career and his time in Italy.
When he was playing for Fiorentina, it seemed that he would be joining Inter. He explained that he did not act professionally and said things he should not have said.
“I didn’t behave like a professional, I said some words I shouldn’t have and that’s why I didn’t go to Inter. I was put out of the team and then I came back into the squad in a win against the Nerazzurri thanks to Prandelli, who made me play.”
Valeri Bojinov has played for a staggering number of clubs during his career. He started off in Lecce and then played for Fiorentina. He had a loan at Juventus and then signed for Manchester City in the Premier League.
The 36-year-old Bulgarian has also played for the likes of Parma, Hellas Verona, Vicenza and Ternana in Italy.
