Former Lazio midfielder Marco Parolo has said that he sees Inter and AC Milan as being a step ahead of Juventus and AS Roma this season, according to a report in the Italian media.

Speaking during an interview with Tuttocesena, Marco Parolo explained the way he views the top teams in Serie A now that more of the transfer window has passed and the first round of fixtures is out of the way.

“I put Milan and Inter in ahead. Juventus right behind. Roma and Napoli are further back. Lazio and Fiorentina could be the surprises.”

The big teams in Serie A all won their opening games which means it is not so easy to pick them apart just yet. Inter struggled to take all three points in Lecce, needing a Denzel Dumfries goal in the last minute of stoppage time to secure all three points.

AC Milan won an entertaining game at San Siro where they beat Udinese 4-2. Juventus had a very pragmatic win at the Allianz Stadium over Sassuolo which ended 3-0.
