Federico Dimarco is now very likely to be starting ahead of Robin Gosens on the left wing for Inter against Spezia on Saturday night, according to a report in the Italian media.
As has been reported by La Gazzetta dello Sport, the Italian defender is set to get the nod ahead of his German teammate to start on the left wing against the Ligurian side.
It is a big call from Simone Inzaghi considering Robin Gosens was expected to be the starter in that role now that Ivan Perisic is not at the club.
He has struggled for fitness in pre-season though which has caused the coach to reward Federico Dimarco for his very good form before the serious games started.
Danilo D’Ambrosio has returned to fitness to make the bench but Henrikh Mkhitaryan will be unavailable.
Spezia are likely to be without Daniele Verde as he is recovering from an injury.
