Inter coach Simone Inzaghi has confirmed that Danilo D’Ambrosio will be fully fit for the match against Spezia which the coach thinks will be a tough game, according to a report in the Italian media.
Speaking to Inter’s Instagram profile rather than in a conventional press conference, via FCInternews, Simone Inzaghi talked about how his side has been preparing for the match against Spezia which takes place at San Siro on Saturday night.
The only player that was unavailable for the first game of the season against Lecce was Danilo D’Ambrosio but the coach confirmed that he has recovered and will be in the squad against Spezia.
“The lads have tackled the week well, trying to perfect the systems. In addition we have recovered D’Ambrosio who wasn’t there in Lecce, we won’t have Mkhitaryan but we are working to prepare well”.
The coach was asked about the different in-game solutions that he has available this season and he agreed that there are plenty of tactical options in the squad.
“We must have many solutions, against Lecce we finished the game with four forwards. I have very good players, we know that matches start with 11 starters, but most of the time the five who come in from the bench are decisive.”
There was not a single draw in the first 10 Serie A games last weekend and Simone Inzaghi thinks it will be a tough league this season.
“It will be a hard-fought championship, all the teams play to win, in fact in 10 matches there has not even been a draw. Several matches were decided in the final minutes, not only ours.”
Focusing on Saturday’s opponent, Simone Inzaghi admitted that he thinks it will be a tough match.
“It will be a tough match, Spezia is a healthy team that won well both in the Coppa Italia and in the league. They have a very good coach, very prepared, and players to keep under control.”
Spezia is Inter’s first home game of the season and Simone Inzaghi showed that he is excited to have them back.
“It will be exciting, we have this great relationship with the fans that has been in place since last season. Around Italy they followed us, it also happened in Lecce; tomorrow there will be a great atmosphere.”
