Lazio president Claudio Lotito could allow Francesco Acerbi to join Inter on loan if there is an obligatory purchase next summer, according to a report in the Italian media today.

As has been reported by La Gazzetta dello Sport, the Lazio president does not seem to be standing in the way of Francesco Acerbi’s possible move to Inter this summer.

The Nerazzurri are in serious need of a new defender so that they can have enough depth in that area for the new campaign.

It became clear at the end of last season that Francesco Acerbi is seeking a new challenge and does not want to play for Lazio anymore.

Claudio Lotito is open to the idea of letting him leave the club on a loan deal but he would want Inter to be obliged to pay a transfer fee at the end of next season.

It is not thought that Inter would take issue with that.
